Misfit Mitten Gets New Life

My first attempt at knitting a mitten for William wasn't particularly successful. The part around the hand was too large, and the thumb was too short. But I didn't bother unraveling the mitten, since there is not enough yarn on the ball to knit another mitten so I couldn't have a pair anyway.

I thought the thumb looked like a little nose, and came up with the idea to recycle the mitten as a little toy doll for William. It only took me a few minutes this morning to sew on some eyes and a tongue, and stuff the whole thing. I wanted the "hair" to stand straight up, so I had to tack the ribbed part together throughout to make it flat instead of round. William seems to like it, he thinks it's funny.
