Terry Rocked Out!

W and I went to hear T play in his Rock Academy band, Half and Half. I thought they were going to play last but instead they wound up playing first, so we missed part of the first song since I couldn't find nearby parking and had to walk a few blocks with a toddler.

Fortunately, there were some good seats left right on the center aisle, so we slipped in and were able to watch T play and sing. I think he did great. Of course, I'm his wife, so it's so surprise that I'm supportive; I'm hardly unbiased. W was very interested in what was going on, but judging from his expression, he was less impressed than I. That baby has no context for how difficult it is to get up and play guitar and sing for an audience. He sees his father playing guitar and singing around the house all the time, so that wasn't surprising, but he did seem surprised to see all the other bandmates and the light show.

W for the most part sat still and watched attentively. I made him wear headphones once we settled in, since it was pretty loud. When T's band was done, I decided I'd better take W out of there rather than stick around watching the other bands. While he was content to watch T onstage, W did start getting restless toward the end of the set, and I'm pretty sure he would NOT have sat still for the other two bands. Especially if T was in the audience next to him-- W probably would have just fussed the whole time. So, Cathy, W and I went downtown for gelato and to play in the park until T met us after the show.

I was able to get video of most of the concert, but I don't know if I'll have time to upload it before we head down to SC for Thanksgiving. I've got a lot of laundry and packing to do tomorrow, but hopefully I'll get at least one song uploaded.
