The Playground Is Complete!

T spent all day on this project, but I think it looks great! We need to add another "scoop" of mulch, but the first scoop was at least able to cover the whole area with a thin layer, which will do for now. Hopefully we'll get the rest of it within the next week or two, but I'm not going to hound T about right away since it's pretty hard labor and he should rest before unloading another trailer full of mulch.

We decided to try to find some sort of ground cover that tolerated shade that we can start from seed for the back (if such a thing exists. . .), and we'll use regular grass seed for the bare spots to the sides and front. T says we'll just use the seed we have, and it will end up blending with the pasture grass within a few years. I'm not so sure about that, but even if we wind up with two distinct types of grass I can live with that.
