Back to Naptime!

W has been off his schedule for days now-- no midafternoon naps. The nights he could make it until 7pm without falling asleep were fine, but other nights he'd go down around 4 or 5 pm and then he'd wake up again and we couldn't get him back to sleep until 9 or 10pm. T and I don't care for that schedule much, so I "persuaded" him to take a nap this afternoon.

He was up until 9:30 or 10 again last night (I didn't pay much attention since bedtime duty fell to T and I got to watch TV in peace), but awoke at a reasonable hour this morning, so I figured I had a good shot at getting him back on a nap schedule.

He started acting tired around 11am, so I put on the lullabies and put him in bed. He didn't go down without a fight, though. He wound up tossing and turning and hollering and crying for about 30 minutes before he finally wore himself out. But he's been asleep for almost two hours now. Since he went down so early, I'll let him sleep as long as possible to make up for all the sleep he's been missing this week.

Ideally, we'll get him back on a schedule where he's asleep by around 8pm. Bathtime at 7pm has been working out pretty well for us, schedule-wise. There is a fun fair at one of the local elementary schools this afternoon starting at 5:30pm, so if it's not raining we'll probably head out there. I'm actively looking for local (Crozet) activities because I get tired so quickly, it makes a big difference now not to have a 30+ minute drive home.
