Rack Room Shoes FTW!

I've been spending a little bit of time in local shoe stores trying to get some comfortable boots before I resort to Zappos. Not that there is anything wrong with Zappos, but the selection is pretty overwhelming for me.

Earlier this week, I got the red boots that were on my seasonal wish list from Stein Mart. Today, I decided to stop into Rack Room since I was in Waynesboro, and found my last two pairs of "must have" boots for the season. I can be done with boot shopping now. Well, I still need snow boots, but those I can get anywhere since I just need them for around the farm. Today I got two pair of knee-high suede boots (one in black, one in camel) with block heels. The block heel is key, since the skinny heel on my current go-to pair is the problem. I didn't mind wearing them pre-kids, but they put my ankles in a precarious situation now that I frequently have to lift and/or carry children. These ones I just bought I think I'll be able to wear all day, so I should look better now when I'm out grocery shopping or running errands.

While these new boots are not what I would consider "fabulous" by a long shot, I do think they are adequately fashionable. Which is pretty much what I'm aiming for when it comes to an every-day boot. And even better, they are leather, and were on sale so I got both pairs for $110 total. You can't beat that! To be honest, that's why I don't mind getting the same pair in two colors. When I find comfortable shoes I've been doing that for the past few years (buying them in multiple colors) since I have such a hard time finding shoes to fit. But I don't think I'd want to get say two pairs of the same boot if they were $300 each, you know? But at $55, oh yeah, you betcha.
