Barboursville Vineyards Pinot Grigio 2006 (SnoothRank: 4/5) USA > Virginia (June 2008) I actually tried the Barboursville Vineyards Pinot Grigio 2007 at a luncheon at the vineyard yesterday, but since that's not listed on this site I'll put the review here. I typically don't have high hopes for American Pinot Grigio, I'll usually only drink this varietal from Italy. But the Barboursville version was pretty good. It had a nice aroma and more body and flavor than other American Pinot Grigios I've tried. It went well with food-- it was paired with a scallop risotto when I tried it. It would also be fine alone, although it's a more serious white than what I generally prefer to drink just sitting around on the patio in the summer. myRating 3.5/5
