More Warm Weather

This morning, Terry said he wasn't sad this is our last full day on the island, since he's ready to go home. I'm not so sure. It's not that I need more vacation, I have had enough of sitting around relaxing, it's more that I'm not looking forward to returning to dreary November weather.

Fortunately, JetBlue starts direct flights from RIC to MCO sometime this month. So I can pop down to Orlando to spend a few days with my mother-in-law anytime I really need some warm sunshine. As long as the flights aren't full and I can get a standby seat. Since it's a new route, I don't know if that means there will be lots of room since people don't know about it, or if seats will be full since it's filling pent-up demand. If flights are running daily, I'm sure I'll be able to get on midweek. But if there are only flights on the weekend, it might be more difficult. In that case, I'd probably have to take a really early or really late flight, but that's ok. Sometimes Terry and I choose late flights anyway since we ordinarily stay up late so arriving at 11pm is not a big deal for us, and the airports are always less crowded when you leave after 8pm.
