Abercrombie & Fitch Doesn't Have Maternity Clothes

Terry and I have accumulated quite a few Abercrombie & Fitch gift cards (and now also gift cards to Hollister). Terry is doing a great job cleaning up the house, and understandably wants to use these up so we don't have to store them anymore.

The problem is that it is very difficult for us to find anything suitable at these stores. Not only do they not have maternity clothes (at least GAP and Old Navy have a decent selection of them online), but the clothes rarely flatter my figure in the best of times. Even when I am thin I don't have the figure of a fifteen-year-old girl.

Terry on the other hand, DOES have the figure of a seventeen-year-old boy. And these stores actually have clothes that fit him well. I have no problem donating my gift cards to his cause. The problem is that the clothes all look like the sort of thing we give away when something gets old and ratty. Faded, torn, misshapen.

We finally found a pair of jeans online that didn't have large holes in the legs. Although they will be "inconsistently scarred with abrasions" they'll have to do. The lightweight wool/silk scarves looked nice, so I ordered one in light blue for myself. It will go well with one of my favorite skirts I'll hopefully be able to fit into again next summer.

We'll see if Terry likes the jeans, if they're fine we'll just use up the rest of the gift cards getting jeans for him. We would at this point be happy to buy some kids' clothes, but these stores don't have clothes for infants or toddlers. They don't even have very much in the way of accessories, just a few tote bags, flip-flops, and scarves.
