So Soft!

The carpet guys are out on their lunch break, and I just walked into the bedroom where the new carpet is on the floor but not yet stretched and attached. It's so soft! What a pleasure to walk on it!

Now walking on the old carpet in the other rooms feels downright icky. But there are only two rooms left with the old carpet, and the nursery carpet will be replaced soon. Although I wonder how that eco-material is going to feel compared to either wool (the luxurious soft stuff now in the bedroom) or nylon (current old carpet), I don't recall paying much attention to how the carpet felt, I just focused on what would look good in the room. I'm considering finding another showroom to feel it again. Of course I don't want to go back to the first two we went to since Terry gave them such a hard time about the carpet in the first place. But I think there are more carpet shops in town. A surprising number, given Charlottesville's size. Or I could go out to Waynesboro, I've needed to make a trip out there for several weeks now, but haven't gotten around to it.

I'm waiting to hear back from Rudy's Carpet Cleaners about mattress cleaning. I need an estimate if we're going to get a claim from the movers. I hope they come out to clean on-site, I don't know if the mattress will fit in our pickup truck.
