I did my research for the Chloe handbag sale at Rue La La, but I doubt I'll be buying anything. I looked through bags available on other websites (shopstyle has an incredible selection), and found a few that I like. Bluefly has this one "Paddington Plexi" in white sheepskin for $1,800 (full retail price $2,250). I determined that while I think it is an absolutely gorgeous bag, it's not going to add $1,800 worth of improvement to my life, and I don't hold out much hope that Rue La La will put it out there for much less than Bluefly.

By the way, I've ordered from Bluefly before, and I recommend them. I got several pairs of designer bikinis in advance of a trip to Hollywood (I wanted to look chic at the hotel pool. . .), and they arrived quickly, at a good price.

Here's another Chloe bag, this one, "Heloise" shoulder bag, available on net-a-porter.com for $858. I hadn't been to this website before, but I like it. It presents products well. I generally agree with the idea that this one is worth half what the first bag is. However, it's personal utility for me is only about 1/3 of the white bag, since I already have a few brown shoulder bags with which I'm reasonably content.

Now, I don't even know if these particular styles will be available on Rue La La, but on the extremely off-chance that they are, AND are marked down more than I expect them to be, it is worth a few minutes of my time Friday morning to check it out.
